Well we haven't been very good bloggers, but we're going to try this again!! As the summer winds down, it finds us getting ready for another school year as Justin prepares for entering the 3rd grade!! We can hardly believe it. All I can say is treasure every single moment you have with your children because time really does fly. JC received a postcard from his new teacher in the mail today -- he was so excited. We get to meet her on Thursday.

I am also posting a recent photo of JC with his new puppy, Spike. The name suits the little guy, huh? Justin loves him! We got him in May and he is almost 5 months old now. He's a Yorkie/Poodle mix. He's gained a whole 2 1/2 pounds since he came home with us!!

We'll post pics of JC's first day of 3rd grade soon!! Only 5 more days til our baby is back in school...

Back to School

School is back in session. Our Disneyland vacation has been delayed until further notice. So before school started we promised Justin we'd take him to Fiesta Texas. We had the time of our lives. We found out he's not big on rides. He mostly loves all the games. He did win a Rangers basketball though, which he had to haul around the rest of the day. That was the deal we made. I couldn't do that to him so we took it to our locker. Fall sports kicked off for both of us. We play flag football well not on the same team and of course I have to play softball every season, it's my ministry. If it wasn't I doubt Sandi would let me play. She on the other hand she has been working so much. I am proud of her though she was accepted to the Manager Candidate School at USAA and she is very excited about being in that program. Harrison Wedding

Mervin and Alicia were married on July 14, 2007. What a beautiful couple. I had to throw in some pictures of me and my family since this is our blog. That weekend we got to see a lot of my family on my dad's side that I haven't seen since I was in diapers. Which in my opinion wasn't very long ago but others might have their own thoughts. That was great. We hope to catch a UT game with Benito and his girlfriend Tina, Hook em Horns!!!

Upwards Flag Football

Upwards flag football is starting this next weekend with evalutaions, weather permitting. I have been appointed flag football director for the organization. I have been coaching in Upwards for over a year now and have enjoyed every minute of it. Sharing this experience with my little man, Justin, and watching him grow spiritually and play a sport he loves is priceless. Watching him worship with his eyes closed during practice and games is awesome for any father to see.
